The Chequers Marlow - (Near Berkshire, london)

Victoria Wan Had the set menu which was: - Snacks - sausage roll and sourdough bread. The pastry was beautifully flakey and the bread was high hydration with a good crust. - Starter - cheesey tart with salted egg yolk. The tart was crisp and the filling was very flavourful. - Main - hake with beans. - Dessert - dark chocolate with blood orange sorbet and EVOO. This was absolutely delicious, the blood orange cut through the richness of the chocolate. Service was friendly and attentive - thank you. Atmosphere was cosy and informal. Would highly recommend especially for a more informal setting.

Mark Lee Excellent all round, food delicious , service attentive, especially one character, sadly not serving us, with the exception they hounded us off the table for the next booking. Didnt have the chance to order and puddings and more drinks! This is where you have to read your customers and have the experience to shuffle tables. That makes it a destination place. The manager focused on several pretty women, rather than working the small room!

Kathryn Gorsuch Been coming to this giggling squid for over 10 years now. The food is always exceptional, the best salt and pepper squid there is! Tried a new sharer starter today which was delicious as always! Khwan and all the other staff were lovely
