5 /5 Daniel Morris: One of the best roast dinners they have done . Even though before they were ok it was So much better today. The vegetables ;had much more flavour and much better than the previous offerings the pub used to do which was normally just plain chopped carrots and cabbage quite tasteless before. Much much better .

3 /5 Vahid Serpooshan: The Gate in North London is a lovely cottage-style restaurant that offers a warm, inviting atmosphere perfect for a relaxed meal. The setting is one of its biggest strengths—with cozy indoor seating and beautifully arranged outdoor spaces, it’s a great spot for both sunny days and quiet evenings. The food was excellent. The sea bass fillet and the salmon dish were both standouts—fresh, well-cooked, and full of flavor. You can tell the kitchen puts care into the ingredients and presentation. It took them forever to come attend us, extremely slow. If there’s one downside, it’s the service. While the staff were friendly, the pace was noticeably slow. It took longer than expected to get our food and drinks, which made the meal feel a bit drawn out. Still, the quality of the food and the ambiance more than made up for it. If you’re not in a rush and want to enjoy a relaxed dining experience in a picturesque setting, The Gate is absolutely worth a visit.

5 /5 PAUL REYNOLDS: Been going to this pub / restaurant for years and never been disappointed. Still by far my favourite place to dine out. Other pub owners should go there and learn / see how to do it properly. Great menu and great tasting food with decent size portions. None of this kids size meals for an adult man like a lot of places do. The specials boards are always so interesting and change every week. Even the veg tastes like home grown. Not over priced either. Looking forward to our next visit!
