Pete D Looking for a great meal in an independent restaurant and wine bar? Then come along to Hammonds. Just by Oxted Station, as well as near car parking. The menu is extensive, but everything is fresh and good quality. Upstairs for larger meals, downstairs for the less formal. Quiz night on the 1st Tuesday of the month, gives you fun and food for £15/each. Good selection of non-alcoholic as well as wines at a reasonable price. (£7/lge glass) The website has more details and up to date menus. Look out for events and taster nights. Tried it yesterday and will be back for more.

K Really enjoyed my experience here at capital. The restaurant is very large and has a nice and friendly feel. They offer complimentary bread which tastes super fresh along with a range of dips; this is one of the tastiest I’ve had in a while. Ordered the Capital platter which went down a treat with us four adults - the meat was super tender and so well cooked! I loved that it was super meaty with the doner pieces; the bulgar was very tasty too. Absolutely recommend for some very tasting Turkish, the flavours do not disappoint and the service was excellent.

Demetri N Hands down the best Italian restaurant I’ve been to. From the owners, to the manager, to every single member of staff. The hospitality was exceptional. You can genuinely feel the care and pride in everything they do! The food was incredible, the service seamless, and the atmosphere just perfect. Even our family who came down from up north said they’d travel back again just for this place. A proper gem. We’ll definitely be back

richard LB I met some friend there for our curry night. Very friendly, wonderful choices of dishes and a few I had not seen before. Definitely the best naan bread I have tasted Good size portions and in a relaxing atmosphere. We will be back. Thank you Richard
