1 /5 Liana Bortolozzo: I had an extremely disappointing experience at The Moby Dick Greenland Dock. I visited on a sunny Sunday afternoon, and while I understand it was busy, the bar staff made no effort to greet or acknowledge customers with a smile.
I waited 30 minutes for a simple bowl of chips, only to receive them undercooked, drenched in oil, and completely unseasoned—no salt, condiments, or even a napkin. I had to get up and collect salt and condiments myself, which should have been provided in the first place. When I politely pointed this out to the waitress and asked for the chips to be taken away, there was no apology or offer to replace them.
The worst part of my visit, however, was witnessing a deeply upsetting incident. An Asian woman who appeared intoxicated but was not being aggressive was forcibly removed from the premises by the owner, a woman, who loudly and rudely demanded that she leave, creating an unnecessary scene in front of customers. Shockingly, several staff members (a group of 5/6 young men) joined in, mocking her and using offensive language.
It was appalling to see such a lack of professionalism and basic decency. A more responsible approach would have been to refuse the woman additional drinks earlier or offer assistance instead of resorting to public humiliation.
Overall, this was one of the worst hospitality experiences I’ve had—rude staff, poor service, and a complete disregard for customer care. I will not be returning.
