1 /5 Bianca Di Mascio: This visit was meant to give my French girlfriend a genuine English dining experience. Unfortunately, The Tudor Rose delivered a very dismal example of English hospitality.
My friends had travelled all the way from Paris and were looking forward to a traditional roast. Instead, they were met with rudeness and poor service from the outset. The food was extremely disappointing and not at all reflective of the price l, around £200 for a substandard roast dinner that felt careless and poorly presented.
To make matters worse, they were refused a mince pie that should have been included, which left them confused and embarrassed, especially after such a long journey.
This was meant to be a warm, welcoming experience showcasing English culture and hospitality. Sadly, it was quite the opposite. Very disappointing and not something we would recommend to others.
