Asian Mama - (Near Oxfordshire, South East)

4 /5 Juri Na: I used to be a big fan of asian mama and visited regularly for many years. The food was very hommy. After leaving Oxford, I revisited several years later, and I was a bit dissapointed with the taste of soup. This could be very personal opinion as some of my party said that the food tasted good. I think this restaurant is good for small party and quick warm meal.

After a long day at work, I hoped to enjoy a pleasant meal, but from the moment I walked in, the staff’s glances were anything but welcoming. This place requires payment upfront, so I ordered a pork rice noodle soup. While my meal eventually arrived, the tap water I requested never did. When I politely asked, "Where is my tap water?" a middle-aged male employee with glasses became visibly irritated and proceeded to lecture me on manners. It was shocking—I didn’t come here to be chastised by the staff. This experience left me questioning whether I was treated this way because of my race. It was truly outrageous, and I am extremely upset. I will not return, nor do I recommend this place to any other Chinese customers. As for the £9.40 rice Ho Fun—it was underwhelming, with a small portion and nothing special to note. Is business in Oxford so successful that a restaurant can afford to treat its customers with such arrogance and disrespect?？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？

1 /5 Mahek Bansal: The mixed vegetable chow mein was so bad. The vegetables were all BURNT. I called the branch to address it and the manager blatantly replied" its cooked in a wok on high temperatures hence it is going to be burnt and you asked for extra spicy so it will burn the vegetables more". Ive eaten chow mein all my life from alot of places and never have I ever got burnt vegetables. Absolutely spoiled my evening. Would not recommend or ever go back.

5 /5 Mirna: Overall good food and open on a Sunday night after 9.30. Saved us as we were hungry and everything was closed. Everything we ordered was good. Highlights is thr crispy duck with pancakes and salt and pepper spare ribs. Noodles and spicy rice were equally good. Portions were huge. We had a lot to take home. Very happy The place can do with renovation though.
