Bambi - (Near Hackney, South East)

5 /5 T G: this is probably one of the best meals I’ve had in London so far. The vibe just felt right, good music in the background, but not so loud that you’re shouting across the table. You can actually relax and talk. The artichoke orzo and the picanha meat were the standout for me, I’d go back just for those. I’m usually a bit sceptical about small plates because sometimes you end up paying a lot for very little, but that wasn’t the case here. The portions were generous enough and the pricing felt fair. The staff were genuinely warm and welcoming, and the whole place is beautifully done: cosy, elegant, and thoughtful without feeling try-hard. It’s the kind of spot you leave already planning to return to.

Menu is simple and hits clean flavors; the small plates and fries are the keepers, portions fair, wine list decent. Bar seating along the wall is a bit tight, so book a table if you can. Not trying to reinvent anything, just a solid neighbourhood hang for drinks and plates that actually land.

5 /5 Sara: The drinks here are always so delicious and creative! Really great selection of unique natural wines. Live djs playing vinyl which makes the vibe super special ✨✨✨ once you’ve had a few too many pickle martinis they’ll move the tables so you can get dancing

5 /5 Eliya Koshoni: I’ve been meaning to try Bambi for a really long time. Finally went with a group of friends it was such an incredible dinner. The atmosphere is so good and the DJ was great !About the food, I would honestly give it a solid 9 out of 10. the fries were life changing and the barbecued broccoli stole the show. The cocktails are extremely good and creative and the bartender is lovely. All the staff were extremely kind and helpful and the food came in a very timely manner for such a busy night will definitely be coming back and sending people here.
