Chigwell Chinese Takeaway - (Near Redbridge, South East)

5 /5 Savrin P: We have been ordering from Chigwell Chinese since 2008! And let me tell you, it is never disappointing! Hands down the best Chinese around the area. Weve done pick ups and had deliveries, all staff are really friendly and welcoming. My favourite is probably the sweet and sour chicken or pork balls, with the egg fried rice it goes down a treat. The salt and pepper prawns / squid are also good, so is the aromatic duck.

1 /5 Kitija Lace: I mean the person on phone ordering was lovely. And that’s where the good stuff ends. Got home after picking up our takeaway - literally couldn’t eat anything from there! Aromatic duck - has been killed 100 times - it’s so dried out there ain’t any meat left on it! On the bottom of cucumber and leek you got chopped up lettuce so the takeaway dish looks full - jokes! Egg fried rice tastes like fish - yuck! And ‘special fried chicken’ - let me tell you - definitely special - dry as anything - no sauce, like it was cooked last week! Now off to get something to eat as this was massive let down, and not fancying to get food poisoning really!

5 /5 Katie L: Had an incredible experience at this Chinese takeaway! Not only was the food absolutely delicious, but the decor is by far the best Ive seen. The food was top-notch – full of authentic flavors and perfectly cooked. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring everything was just right. Highly recommend this place – great food, amazing decor, and overall fantastic service. Definitely one of the best Chinese takeaways Ive had in a long time! Will definitely be coming back again soon!

1 /5 Russell Bernadine: This was the only option in the area with a 5 hygiene rating so started coming here. Food was great first few times. Then we had a friend over so ordered, they were extremely ill all night and the next day with stomach and vomiting. We all ate the same food so assumed was something else (although they hadn’t eaten anything unusual). Then I ordered last night. The ribs were dry and not fresh at all. Everything was handed to me within 3 minutes of ordering also…. I’ve had a bad stomach all day and have had nothing out of the ordinary. None of the food I tasted was freshly prepared as was dry and rubbery lacking flavour. Won’t be coming here anymore as the quality seems to have gone down and they seem to be cutting corners somewhere and reheating food poorly…..
