5 /5 Heerthiga Winston: We’ve popped in here quite a few times now and the place always has this warm, easy atmosphere that pulls you in. Service drifts a little slow every now and then, though to be honest it makes sense because the place stays packed. The food keeps winning me over. Everything has that comforting, well-made feel and the portions lean generous. The soup with the sourdough is something I always end up recommending to people. The truffle chicken panini has become one of those dishes I find myself craving. There’s usually parking along the high street, which makes getting here a bit easier.

It has indoor and outdoor seatings and both with good vibes. Food was yummy and smoothies refreshing. Highly recommended salt beef and açaí kick. Staff are friendly and helpful. Shouldn’t miss a visit if you happen to be at the high street of Wanstead.

5 /5 Karina S: This isn’t my first time at City Place at Night— having fallen in love with their breakfast, I’ve since returned for drinks and dinner, and it never disappoints. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxed, warm evening out. The drinks selection is fantastic, and the food is absolutely outstanding. My fillet steak was incredibly tender and full of flavour, and their peppercorn sauce was the perfect accompaniment. Most recently I visited for Valentine’s Day, where live music added a wonderful touch to an already great atmosphere. The staff are attentive and genuinely caring, and the owners are a real highlight — you can tell they put their heart into the place. Whether you’re after a proper dinner or just drinks and good conversation, I’d recommend City Place to everyone!

5 /5 Joe Manley: Me and my pal went into city place this morning and had one of the best fry ups we’ve ever had. Staff super friendly and helpful, the food speaks for itself but was unbelievable. A must when looking for brunch in Wandstead!

5 /5 Hannah Garrett: Great visit to City Place on Friday night. Excellent and very attentive service (really helpful bearded ginger guy, didn’t catch his name) which really made the experience! Food was delicious and such good value - only £29.95 for three courses with a generous sized fillet steak as a main (cooked to perfection). Will definitely return. Nice to see a local business offering something different.
