5 /5 Akber Ali: We started with the poppadoms, which came with three delicious sauces and freshly sliced onions – 10/10, full of flavour and the perfect way to begin the meal. For our mains, we ordered the Tawa for 3, which was excellent. The lamb chops were tender, the meats were packed with flavour, and the portion was generous. The passion fruit mojito was refreshing and paired perfectly with the food. Service was fantastic. We were greeted by the owner, Zakariya, who was very friendly and attentive, making sure we were well looked after. The whole venue was spotless, including the toilets, and the décor gave the restaurant a modern and welcoming feel. Overall, it was a brilliant experience. This time I went with friends, but I’ll definitely be returning with my family. The food, service, and atmosphere were all top-notch, and it’s great that they accept both card and cash payments. Highly recommended!

5 /5 Jalal Hannan: I recently hosted my Nephews Nasta party at Desi Lounge. The food was amazing spices cooked to perfection by acclaimed chef Hamidur Rahman we especially loved the bengali chicken roast which got everyone talking about. Muhit and Shaju were serving and were so attentive and willing to help they continued to ask if we needed anything which everyone appreciated. We were so impressed by Desi Lounge and staff I would highly recommend Desi Lounge for any event either big or small with a 300 person capacity they can cater for most of your special occasions with a fantastic decor. 5 /5 Ashraf Ali: Had a wonderful Iftar at Desi Lounge today. The food was absolutely amazing and the Iftari selection was full of flavour and beautifully prepared. Everything we tried was delicious and it really had that authentic Bangladeshi, homely taste that reminds you of proper traditional South Asian cooking. We were a large group, and despite that, everything was perfectly organised. The food was served right on time for Iftar with no delays, and the service was smooth, prompt and very well managed. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it a perfect place to break your fast with friends and family during Ramadan. Desi Lounge is truly a hidden gem in the heart of Bethnal Green, East London and definitely a must-try spot if you enjoy authentic Bangladeshi food with that real homely flavour. They also have great space for hosting events, with both upstairs and downstairs areas available, making it a great venue for private parties, special occasions, or even small wedding events. They even facilitate a dedicated area for prayer, where guests can comfortably pray in congregation, which is very thoughtful especially during Ramadan. Highly recommended!

5 /5 J Miah: We went there as a large group, and the food was excellent. We pre-ordered everything, and the mixed starters were flavorful with generous portions. They also offer a £23 set meal, which we chose—it included lamb korai, chicken jalfrezi, dhal,two types of rice, dessert, and drinks. It was definitely worth it for a big group. The staff were very friendly, and the place was spotless throughout. The toilets were clean and up to a good standard, and the décor was modern and stylish. I’d highly recommend this place—it’s worth a visit. The only drawback was parking, but we managed by using the side roads.
