Lusitania - (Near Lambeth, South East)

3 /5 DISCOVER DA COSTA: Visit for a birthday celebration. I was not impressed, not the best welcome, food looked very nice and good portions but unfortunately it was not hot... It took me 7 min to call a member of staffs attention, to ask for a spare plate. Conclusion not a place I will reccomend or visit again.

4 /5 Sabas Castillo: I believe the name Lusitania refers to the Roman name for the current territory where Portugal now is. The area in Vauxhall, London, host a high concentration of Portuguese restaurants, due- I also believe- to been this a Portuguese neighborhood. This is a truly under rated, un remarkabled place where you will never take Instagram pictures, been distracted by noisy background music, or firework displays in your food, as many people are currently seeking. Instead, you will enjoy the honest, simple, restricted, yet delicious & comforting Portuguese food. The extense Portuguese wine menu is possibly the best kept secret in the whole of London: excellent wine options from the Alentejo or Douro Valley regions, ranging between £20-30 a bottle, this is insane! Plus, the all-you-can-eat-£25 Sunday buffet ( 12:30pm to 4:30pm) that really push you to return over and over again! I had the sea food juicy rice for 2 that was fantastic!

5 /5 Francisco: An amazing place to enjoy great quality Portuguese food. Professional and welcoming staff. Great venue. And most importantly, food is 5 stars. Definitely to return many times.

5 /5 Keval Patel: I visited this place with a Portuguese friend who had highly recommended it. I found the food to be delightful, everything from the starter to the mains and the desserts were incredibly tasty with generous portions. I particularly enjoyed the garlic prawns, chorizo, peri peri chicken and the desserts which really satisfied my sweet tooth. Apart from the food, the atmosphere was great on a Saturday night with live music being played and very relaxed vibe in the whole restaurant. Overall I would highly recommend Lusitania for an authentic taste of Portugal in London.

4 /5 Natália: I like the idea of dinner and traditional dancing afterwards ;-)) However I wouldn’t classify the food as exceptional- but still it was good; bread was definitely delicious, but I definitely ate much better fish soups. I didn’t like clearing our tables when we just went for a dance and left half cups full on the table or charging for a 2 coffees instead of one (( But the idea is great. ))
