Burhan Gülec ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ What an amazing discovery! We came across this restaurant by chance while out for a walk, and I can honestly say it was the best food I’ve had in London so far. Everything we tried tasted excellent – incredibly fresh and clearly prepared with great care and passion. You can really tell that a lot of effort and attention to detail goes into every dish. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was outstanding. A special thank you to Funda and Hasim, who were incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional, and made us feel welcome from the very beginning. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and absolutely worth it. Whenever I’m back in London, I’ll definitely come here again – this will be my go-to restaurant. Highly recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

irws Lovely little cafe! Their menu offers very interesting spins on classic dishes and it seems that they regularly change their menu too. I tried the fried eggs in chilli butter which was well balanced and very tasty. We also has the mushrooms on toast which had a healthy serving of shrooms piled on! The cafe has very limited seating but I would recommend visiting if you are keen for a more unique taste.

Sam Scalabrini Lucia was our server and she was great! Everything was delicious. We were stuffed by the end of our tea experience. I especially loved the scones and cakes!! The food was well worth the price.

Patrick This was my first time trying Burmese food. Very highly recommend going to this restaurant. Burmese food, to me, is much more similar to Thai food than I thought. As Thai, I’m very familiar with the Thai cuisine, and many of the flavours of Burmese cuisine reminded me of it. There are certain types of meats and curries that are clearly influenced by India/Nepal, making this a very interesting cuisine. I most recommend the mutton curry - by far the best dish I’ve had, and I’ve tried a few dishes at this place. The second meal I would recommend is the Mohinga, which is a national dish and similar to a Malaysian Laksa + Vietnamese vermicelli noodles. Food gets delivered super quick ~5-10 minutes. Staff are very friendly.

Nic Banister Well worth a visit to the one that started it all, somewhere Ive wanted to visit for a long time. Relatively small by modern standards inside but that just adds to the busy brasserie ambience. Exquisite design and layout with the bar down the middle with counter seating and normal tables every side (toilets near the entrance). Service excellent even through they were busy. Food exactly what you would expect - we enjoyed the fish and chips and pan fried sea bass. Deserts the classic chocolate bombe, rum baba and creme brulee (although would have preferred this a bit more crunchy on the top). Its a busy classic London brasserie and I completely recommend it!

Your Next Food Trip The overall experience at restaurant 1890 was excellent, and I can now see why the restaurant was awarded 1 Michelin star. It’s almost hidden in a small section of the Savoy that’s luxurious in its own right. I had the lunch set at £90, which already includes 3 of the 5 dishes featured on the full tasting menu. Everything was excellent. It’s a great place to take a date.
