Montys Cafe - (Near Berkshire, South East)

Karthikeya Sharma We were recommended of this place for Nepali food. 4 of us visited for lunch and we were not disappointed! We ordered Veg steamed Momo and Veg Chilli Momo, Waiwai Sadheko, Sel set, Puri Tarkari, Veg fried rice and Dhido Thali. The food was delicious, home cooked style and reasonably priced. For us the Dhido Thali was a surprise find as its a close match to Ragi Mudde of Karnataka. Highly recommend this to anyone missing the Mudde in UK! Will definitely visit again

Logan Snape Aleigh’J was a lovely server and made sure that we got our moneys worth. We booked for the 2 hour bottomless brunch but only had an hour and 30 mins as it closed at 10pm. She gave us as many drinks as she could so that we could get our moneys worth since we got less hours and was so amazing.

E K I love this place. Today I ordered bibimbap with one topping (chicken BBQ). The employees are very friendly, and the food is good at an affordable price! I always go to this Korean restaurant when I visit Reading. I really wish it would open one near where I live.

H L-J Ive been eating at Afghan Flavours, Reading for circa 18 months now. I was introduced by my sisters friend and have kept coming back on my own, with a my sister or in small groups. Its very reliable, tasty, fresh and hot food. Family friendly. Very reasonably priced for the quality and freshness. You can see the kitchen from the counter too. Other reviews mentioning service speed need to show some patience. Freshly cooked and prepared food takes time and this is an increasingly popular establishment. I would describe as cafe style eating. Whether its the Channa Daal, Houmous, halloumi, chicken byriani, Qabuli chicken/lamb, chicken/lamb charsi karahi, Afghan style red kidney beans, Chaplin kebab paties, chicken or lamb or mixed tikka or lamb kofta - I recommend all. For drinks would recommend mint or green tea (loose tea) or mango lassi (glass or jug) or a fresh juice. I prefer to eat in, but take away is also available. A friendly and hardworking team. Nick Fischer The food is phenomenal! We came here for brunch and it was so good. We are definitely coming back. They have tons of vegan options and are super helpful with food allergies. The vegan pancakes are a hit. The service was super friendly, even though they were super busy when we came. Luckily we had a reservation so there was no wait when we showed up.

Lilian Annis I heard cafe yolk was a popular student cafe that I had to try at some point during uni and it was worth it. Although there was a line outside of the cafe, we were seated fast and had a few options on where to sit. The menu had a lot of option and the service was friendly and fast. The food was very flavourful, however, the matcha was quite bland so I would try other drinks- the mocha looked lovely and it had writing in the foam. I would definitely come here again (the herby potatoes were sooo yum!).
