2 /5 Andy Clark: Simple british comfort food is all well and good, but if youre going to charge so much it has to be spot on - Ive never eaten such poorly made battered haddock, barely warm on arrival, overcooked, dry, and hardly any fish, then you spend £15 for a milkshake which was distinctively average. There were no standout dishes, all were average at best; youd think a £24 burger would have been good wouldnt you! The setting is lovely, albeit very noisy with other patrons, and staff were well turned out and pleasant, but the price and food quality really ruined the meal.

4 /5 Sandra Appleby: Charged £8 for 2 pieces of bread as we liked the dressing so much on the starter and wanted to enjoy it so just asked for a slice of bread.Thought it would be included It just seemed unnecessary.

5 /5 Tom St.: A very nicely executed British comfort food venue with something for everyone options. Atmosphere is nice, set in the Village section of the Beaverbrook resort, a five minute drive through the forest from the main house. Decoration very classic, and service from all staff excellent. We had a new born baby in a pram and our dog, they were very accommodating and gave us a lovely corner table which had lots of space. They even gave our dog a bowl and his own tim of treats. The whole establishment is very child friendly (as is the whole Village section of the resort). A nice addition to the two other restaurants and a very easy going setting but with the usual Beaverbrook touches.

5 /5 Bob Williamson: I had read some negative reviews about Mrs Beeton’s Restaurant saying how unfriendly and unwelcoming they could be. It was with some trepidation therefore that when I stopped by – whilst out on a 20 mile walk – to ask if it were possible to simply have a coffee. I couldn’t have been made to feel more welcome and despite their insistence that my walking attire was acceptable indoors, I decided to sit outside on the patio in the sunshine. Having glanced through the menu, I also decided to have a snack – a Welsh Rarebit. What arrived was more like a small meal – a hearty slab of sourdough generously laden with their house-mix of rarebit, accompanied by a small portion of French fries. The rarebit was simply divine. I stopped off again a couple of weeks later, this time in mountain bike gear, to give them my positive feedback in person. Again, I was warmly welcomed and invited in for something to eat, despite my attire. From my experiences, I would therefore recommend that you ignore some of the negative comments you might read about this establishment – maybe the situation some of these people found in themselves in, was more down to them rather than the lovely people at Mrs Beeton’s Restaurant.
