Nandos Guildford - (Near Hampshire, South East)

1 /5 Connie MI: I ordered a delivery from Nando’s Guildford, where I found a 10cm piece of sharp metal mixed in with my food. I was 40 weeks pregnant. If I hadn’t poured the food onto my plate, I would most likely not have spotted it at all and dread to think of what could have happened. When I immediately called the restaurant, I received no apology, only instructions to email a photo for a refund. A refund I still haven’t received 3.5 months later. The lack of reaction gave the clear impression this was not being treated as a serious or unusual incident - I suspect this isn’t the first time it’s happened. Head office later acknowledged that their Safety Team believes the metal may have come from restaurant equipment and that their procedures failed. Despite this, the response has been slow and dismissive. This is a serious food safety failure, handled poorly at every stage. I would strongly urge caution when ordering from this restaurant.

Dealing with kids and a busy restaurant can be a lot, but the team here was incredibly attentive. ​Mayuri was so helpful with our food and made sure everything arrived just right. ​Sham was a superstar with the tables, ensuring we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Hall ​Family Friendly: They were great with the highchairs and making sure the kids were settled. ​It’s rare to find such proactive service. We will definitely be back!

2 /5 Sijo K Jose: The Food is Consistent, but the Logistics are a Struggle If you are looking for that familiar PERi-PERi fix in Guildford, this location is right in the heart of the action. However, your experience will largely depend on how much patience you have for the "Nando’s hustle." Location & Accessibility The restaurant is situated in an extremely easy-access spot for pedestrians and shoppers, right off the main high street. However, if you are driving, be warned: parking is a nightmare. There is no parking available directly at the restaurant, and finding a spot nearby is difficult and often expensive. It is much better suited for those already on foot in the town center. The Wait Times Brace yourself for a crowd. This branch is constantly busy, and you should almost always expect a wait for a table. On peak days, the queue often spills out the door, meaning you might find yourself waiting outside on the pavement before you even get to the "official" indoor waiting area. Service & Atmosphere While the food is served at the standard Nando’s quality we all know, the service can be a bit hit-or-miss. Because the restaurant is perpetually packed, the staff often seem stressed and are generally not the friendliest. Dont expect much in the way of warm welcomes or attentive check-ins; it’s very much a "get them in, get them out" environment.

5 /5 George Trae: The Service - Greeted immediately by a friendly member of staff. - Ordering was smooth and easy, member of staff was very efficient and patient. - Food was served in a timely manner and staff asked if we required anything else before resuming. The Food - For three persons, with starters and mains, all of the food was served hot, fresh and in a timely manner. - The food was cooked really well and as can be expected the flavours were great. The Atmosphere - The venue at the time we attended (around midday on a weekday) was relatively peaceful with a few diners dotted around but not overcrowded. - The tables have a good distance apart so you don’t feel as if you are entering into people’s conversations just to get to the bathroom. - The lighting is well suited for the venue and there are full glass panels on the exterior to allow light in during the daylight hours. The Negatives - The only thing I can say in a “negative” manner about this venue is that the bathroom is what seems like a mile walk away up the stairs. Overall, a great dining experience. Quick, easy, friendly, tasty. Would recommend ✅

2 /5 CityStrider: A fantastic taste experience marred by the service. Set over two floors the restaurant has plenty of seats and is very easy access from the centre. I would score this restaurant very highly had it not been for the frustrated door staff. I also witnessed a very heated exchange from another set of customers regarding the same staff member. Management should hopefully improve the situation by either redeploying or dealing with the cause of these confrontations. (The WiFi and app were both not working which also added to a negative experience. Staff said it’s common. So why not fix it?)
