Bryn Glew My son decided to pick this place after asking him where he would like to eat? I am soo glad it picked here, we arrived on a Saturday evening though it was busy due to due the airshow, the staff manage to get us seated. The members of staff were so welcoming and friendly. The food was amazing, everything was done fresh and on point. Really good for a family of 3. We will definitely be returning next year for another go. CJ HADDEN Really amazing experience. Me and my lovely girlfriend were celebrating our anniversary and wanted somewhere to have our first seafood boil and this place came highly recommended. From the moment we came through the door to the moment we left the service was exceptional and well above what we were expecting. They were friendly informative and made us feel very welcome. The food was second to none and absolutely gorgeous that even though it was huge portions we wanted to battle through it was that good. Definitely coming back soon and couldn’t recommend highly enough

Sam Hesketh Had one of the most delicious meals ever, from the minute we arrived we were warmly welcomed & taken to our table. The service & food was exceptional I cannot fault it in any way. The zucchini frites was the best I’ve ever had! Light, crisp & moorish. I wish I lived nearer.

Lloyd Thomas Very nice halal chicken sandwich and very good veggie fried breakfast. Mushrooms nice and crispy. Coffee (macchiato) was strong and bitter (like it often is in Italy, in a good way) with a fine crema. The lad who was serving was polite. Recommend this place for food and a cuppa.

Ela Gorla Vel is one of my favourite restaurants in Brighton and one of the best South Indian restaurants I ever tried. I spent 5 months in South India in 2024 so when I moved to Brighton I was desperate to find a place where I could enjoy authentic South Indian food and I’m thrilled I discovered Vel. The food tastes exactly like the food I used to eat in India and the staff is very friendly. I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for true Indian flavours.
