3 /5 Ash Parikh: Glad to finally go to SlowBurn as I had read so many positive reviews. Overall the food was good but not great. Service from the staff was very nice - no complaints there! The cauliflower fritters were the let down of the meal. Lacked seasoning or any discernable flavour. The garlic aoili was okay but necessary as the dish was so bland. I liked the black bean gyoza tacos, there was a depth of flavour lacking elsewhere on the table. The mackerel crudo was refreshing palette cleanser but lacked texture - a crumb may have helped. The Slowburn chicken was moist and carried a nice smoky flavour. It was very tasty - but would have benefitted with a vegetable accompaniment or a twist at £26 for a half...you expect a little more.. Really loved the parsnip, smoked garlic and parmesan agnolotti. Good flavour and delicious, hadnt eaten something like that before - although the parsnip crisp was nowhere to be seen.

5 /5 Stuart Lock: A really quirky venue that is all about vegetarian food - but with great choices for us meat eaters. Seating is shared bench tables for smaller couples and plenty great for groups. The food, service and drinks selection was great! Ive been meaning to try this place for a while - glad I did. I will be revisiting again soon!

5 /5 Katy Beale: Love this place! Completely unique location - inside a boutique denim workshop, you’re sitting amongst the sewing machines. And the food is delicious and the staff are friendly! We went with a group and ordered pretty much everything on the menu to share. There were no duffs. I loved that vegetables are front and centre. My favourite dishes were sweet brown butter leeks and sharp labneh, the curiously airy cheese and celeriac stuffed pasta and the massaman mussels. I could’ve eaten a vat of the smoked garlic butter that came with the sourdough. We fought over the last bit of the dark chocolate tart and raspberry sorbet.

5 /5 Michael’s Reviews: Set inside a denim garment-making workshop, the restaurant nestles you next to piles of selvage jeans, sewing tables, washing machines and rolls of denim fabric. Complimenting the environment, the seasonal menu is focused on natural, Earthy ingredients with almost weekly updates that reflect market availability. All plates are designed to be shared which creates great conversation and a convivial environment.

4 /5 Nivesh Mangal: We visited this highly rated restaurant last weekend with expectations to try out the vegetarian/vegan dishes on their menu. Loved the black bean tacos and the dish with crispy sweet potatoes and smoked aubergine puree. The one with broccoli was okay, while the pasta felt very bland and a little undercooked to our liking. What was disappointing to note is the quantity which didnt justify the pricing of the dishes in the main course. One cant compare a protein-filled small-plate of non-veg to a plate of vegetarian salad without any protein in it, expecting a customer to pay the same or similar price. The restaurant is located 7-8 mins from the nearby tube station and has a couple of parking spots if not too many. The seating is in a big hall as it was/is a cloth factory of sorts with machines for stitching etc. on display, so a minimalist kind of setting is what the expectation should be. The heating/insulation probably could be improved as well. The staff were very welcoming and went out of their way for us to understand what exactly would go in each of the vegetarian dishes before taking the order. Mainly, if they could focus on improving the quantity of each of the vegetarian dishes, ensure theyre served piping hot, that will certainly increase the quality aspect and a number of repeat customers.
