The Boat Inn - (Near Oxfordshire, South East)

5 /5 Keith Price: OK food,but forgot to include everything that was on the menu. The service appalling!!! Walked to the bar and the barman just walked off, went away and came back 5 minutes later and the barman too busy texting on his phone to serve me. When i asked for the bill i was given the tap machine which i refused to tap tip, once paid i was given the bill with a service charge added !!!. Music too loud and after asking for it to be turned down, nothing done!! mooring right outside but we found a much better pub down the road after this experience. My advice give it a miss unless your desperate.

5 /5 inner sound: Take no notice of the questionable reviews written by competitors, designed to put you off. This must be the best pub in the country: warm hospitality, plentiful delicious well-cooked food and a range of drinks, served either inside the quaint old building or in the pub garden. Great location for boaters - and for walkers too, with endless beautiful walks along the canal and out into the countryside. I have been to this pub a great many times and it is excellent every time. Try it: you will love it!

5 /5 Mary Hawthorne: Myself and my family came to try out the Sunday carvery as wed heard great things about it. We were not disappointed at all. The food was amazing, the service was fantastic and great atmosphere. Nothing was too much trouble. Very scenic as the canal runs along side the pub. The staff are very friendly and welcoming too. Will definitely be returning for another carvery very soon. Dog friendly aswell. We got to meet the gorgeous Angel too (the owners dog) Thank you for an amazing time ☺️

5 /5 Colin JP: The Boat Inn is a wonderful establishment, close to both canal and river Cherwell. Great service very welcoming and the food is very good too! As a Guinness drinker this is the best in the area, trust me I’ve tried a few ;)
