The Lamb Inn - (Near Oxfordshire, South East)

5 /5 Tomás de Vasconcellos: We stayed at The Lamb Inn and had a really great time. It’s exactly what you’d hope for when booking a cozy pub stay. We actually had a minor issue with our room right after we arrived, but the staff were so kind and handled it perfectly. Harry, in particular, that checked us in, was super helpful and available, he got us moved to a new room super fast and with absolutely no fuss. The room itself was great, honestly really good for a pub setup. The breakfast was on the simpler side, but it was pretty good. For what you expect from a traditional pub inn, despite a bit pricey, we feel it’s a 5-star experience. Would definitely recommend it!

5 /5 Hanna Larsson: Had a very lovely stay here a few weeks ago. We were very well looked after by the staff in the bar and they managed to squeeze us in for both drinks and dinner which was appreciated, especially since it rained all weekend so we couldn’t sit outside. Food was delicious and the pub on the ground floor was very charming and old. The room was nice and clean, very light and had a coffee machine and some biscuits which was a nice touch. Very quiet in the evening and you couldn’t hear any noise from the pub. Close to some of the major Cotswolds attractions but still away from tourists and all in all just a fab stay! A big thanks to the staff who were all so friendly and helpful!

5 /5 Richings Chris (ChrisR): What a lovely pub with fantastic staff and food. We all had such a great meals (Sunday) for my mother’s birthday. If you have the Sunday Roast Lamb shoulder then you want to be sharing this with some big eaters …. Especially with all the additional side dishes. Definitely will be back again soon.

4 /5 Rob Hopf: Came for Sunday lunch. I had fish and chips, which was excellent. I even ate the mushy peas. My partner had the roast beef which was nice although the Yorkshire was a bit dry. Service was excellent

4 /5 Heidi Blyth: We spent 3 nights at this gorgeous Cotswold pub at the end of Aug 2025. We were blown away with how lovely the pub was. We arrived and checked in which was a little confusing as there are many doors to access the property and there is no reception desk. We were shown to our room which was beautiful - room 2. We dumped our bags and went for a drink. We had a dinner booking at 6pm. The food was lovely however I was surprised that my fish dish - Brill, didnt come with a potato side. At £26 for the dish I would have expected to actually get a whole meal rather than having to pay £6 for a few new potatoes. We had 1 drink each and 2 meals which cost us £74- a tad steep IMO. We had a few more drinks after an evening walk then went up to bed. Unfortunately, bedroom 2 is above the bar and is extremely noisy. We could hear people conversations and the music very clearly. This noise went on until 12.30am even though the pub shut at 11am. We did speak with Matthew and the management the next day and they were very understanding and upgraded us to room 10 which was absolutely stunning and very quiet- perfect for a evening chilling in the lovely bath! They serve a continental breakfast which consists of toast, with jams, peanut butter or chocolate spread, cereal, some fruit and crossiants. Tea and basic coffee is included but any sort of Latte or cappuccino is charged extra as is any sort of cooked breakfast. I did find it a disappointment that a better breakfast wasnt included in the price. After dining at the Crown down the road, they include a brilliant breakfast and the price for rooms was similar to The Lamb Inn. On Sundays they have half price pizzas which was a lovely surprise. Overall we had a lovely stay which was only made possible with the change of room. Big thank you to Matthew who was so super helpful and really made our stay great. Would we stay again? Yes. Would we eat there again? No. The Crowns food was absolutely lovely and is reasonable price and is only a 5 minute walk into the village. This place could be a real gem with a few tweeks!
