2 /5 N Taylor: Visited the pub on a Thursday dinner time for a birthday meal. Supposed to be offering a family friendly atmosphere however the pub was very rowdy & had a group of lads offering lots of colourful language in front of our table which including children!! Food was nice once it arrived, although we ordered via the app and drinks had ice in even though some were specified as none when ordering. Would not revisit based on today’s experience!

5 /5 V Ryan (Ryan93v): We hired a section of the pub for my nan’s birthday and it was perfect. They closed off the area for us which made it feel really personal and special. Staff were friendly and helpful all evening. Couldn’t fault it — thank you!

5 /5 Heidi ONeill: Great catch up with friends A group of 4 of us went to The Oak last night for our Christmas get together. We ate from the Christmas menu which we had ordered in advance, we had 4 different starters which were all very nicely presented and plentiful. Mains was 3 traditional roast turkey dinners and I had the festive pie with mash, which was the best mash I have tasted in ages. Once again plentiful and piping hot. For desert we had 2 chocolate orange cakes (one of which ended up being a take away as diner was too full!) the 2 others had bakewell tart which was lovely. The restaurant is festively decorated and warm. The service was spot on from all members of the team, checking we were happy but not overboard so we were able to enjoy our evening. Quality and portion size of the meals made it great value for money. Food was served at a good rate, enough time between courses but not too much time that we felt we were waiting for it. We will definitely be returning for plenty more meals in 2026. Well done to The Oak team, keep up the good work.
