5 /5 Hammond Deo: The Watersedge was a great setting for a family lunch for 5. They had the Christmas menu which had a surprisingly good selection. We all had something different and everyone really enjoyed the food. It was well prepared, very tasty, good portion size and was served in good time. The price was also quite reasonable and the staff were polite and helpful. We would all definitely be happy to go back.

2 /5 Jayne: We visited as a group of 21 for a family birthday. The décor is beautiful and the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, so we were hopeful for a great experience. Unfortunately, the food really let the evening down. My Brie parcels arrived with no brie, there was a hair found in one of the burgers, and egg shells in the sticky toffee pudding. The roast beef was extremely fatty, and one member of our family actually choked and needed medical assistance. After that, most of the table couldn’t continue eating their meals. The manager was sympathetic and offered to remove the service charge and the Brie from the bill, but when we checked, only the service charge had been deducted. The issue wasn’t the service – it was the quality and safety of the food. We’ve spent many years bringing family here and celebrating special occasions, but sadly after this experience, we won’t be returning.

5 /5 Steve Orton: There was a live artist performing and we had a meal and music deal. The meal was precooked from the varied menu which aided greatly the speed of service. But there was signs of the food having sat about, it was all freshly cooked and tasty. It was a very good evening with friendly people around to chat to and a Happy atmosphere. The singer was very good too. And all at a remarkable price and value for money.

3 /5 Dave C: Mixed experience with food. Not a Foodie place. Watersedge is a nice place in a nice setting. We are here to talk about Sunday lunch. Parking, no problem. They have their own generous car park. Staff, generally good. Could be more attentive. Starters, not brilliant. For heavens sake provide a side plate for starters. Main1 - Steak on an impossibly hot slab of stone. Great attempt! Steak was under-cooked as it should be, because it continues to cook on the stone. A side plate for fries, onion rings and sauce would be welcome. Main2 - Sunday roast - dig beyond the HUGE Yorkshire pudding and the meal lets itself down by barely edible roast potatoes - or, put another way, barely roasted roast potatoes. The one thing that I really hate about restaurants like this is the automatic service charge added to the bill. They know that most Brits dont want to go through the potentially embarrassing experience of having this tax removed. If your service is good then we will tip. But it is NOT an algorithm.
