3 /5 A J: We were really disappointed in Christmas Day dinner here yesterday. Last year was so much better. Table booked for 3pm for a big group of us, we all rushed to get there and on arrival we were forced to wait in an incredibly busy bar area, squashed between other guests waiting. We had to wait for over 30 minutes to be seated at our table. I had turkey and it was a tiny portion of hard, reformed meat. No stuffing on the plate at all. No bread sauce. Hardly any roast potatoes and they were not crispy or cooked well. Last year there was a big bowl of lovely crispy roast potatoes to share. Kept having to repeat drinks order and chase for this. Also NO Yorkshire puddings - even when they were on menu! I can’t believe we paid £145 per person. Comparing our experience from 2024 it was very disappointing

5 /5 Richard Bacon: Easy to park, plenty round the back, lovely welcome. We had a weekday lunch off the main menu, plenty to choose from. The french onion soup was excellent as was the chicken burger. Coffee was also really nice. Staff were great and very accommodating when two of our group couldnt make it on the day. Definitely recommend this place.

5 /5 Mitch: I had a lovely lunch, and the presentation was superb, with spectacular service. No complaints whatsoever with the food, only a little lack luster with waitstaff as we had to wait a little while for orders to be taken. Otherwise, lovely venue

4 /5 Giovanna Cavaliere: I had a dinner and the food restaurant is extremely AMAZING! I strongly recommend this restaurant, especially the Cheese Souffle and the Porchetta. I’m coming back next Sunday to try the Roast. UPDATE: I went for the Sunday Roast and is NOT worth it. The Vegetarian Wellington was extremely tiny and the made a substitution, instead of mushroom they gave me beetroot (which i dont eat) without asking me. The Yorkshire Pudding was very oily and cold. I DONT RECOMMEND to people to come for Roast. But, for the other food i recommend it

3 /5 Jim Coleman: Have been going here for the last 5 years for Xmas dinner with 10 of us. Most years it has been brilliant. This year, I am afraid, was nowhere near the standard of previous years. Service was just OK. Had to find staff at times to be served. The food took a very long time to arrive. When it did eventually arrive the portions (for the price) were measly eg. If you order fish pie. That is all you get! No side portion of veg etc.. think this should be mentioned upon ordering. A complimentary side of sprouts was offered up as an almost apology! The two menu option is also poor and must be confusing for the kitchen staff. Whilst it is always nice to have plenty of options. Just have the one menu to save any confusion. When the bill arrived there were extra meals added that were not ordered. Whilst also missing items that had been ordered. This took time to address meaning we were still occupying a table while the next guests had arrived. Hopefully a one off but left feeling that next year an alternative venue maybe sought.
