Sophia Ali Amazing service and great tasting food. Such a huge variety of meals to choose from too. I chose the Halal options, the owner confirmed that there is no cross contamination as everything is cooked completely separately from the few non halal products they serve. Free parking on nearby streets for the first hour too.

Asad Aslam We celebrated my dad’s 60th at Masala Hut, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was top-notch, especially the lamb kebabs and chicken curry, which everyone loved. The atmosphere was warm and full of character, and the cassette display added a great nostalgic touch that guests couldn’t stop talking about. It made the place feel unique and memorable. Huge thanks to the team for helping make the night so special. Highly recommend for any celebration or a great meal out!

Latecarrot Randomly stopped by for some suya. Thought I might not be able to get a table without booking but they managed to fit me in. It was relatively busy and lots of people came while I was there. The suya was delicious and the servers were very polite and helpful. Also, the prices are really good. Highly recommended.

FM-N We discovered Afrikana as its on our local takeout list. The food is always always top notch. So we decided to celebrate a birthday at Afrikana, we had to book by email as we were a larger party (7 people). We then turned up early to boot. But everyone was welcoming and our table was ready for us immediately. We ordered the ‘meat again’ as a shared plate, the ‘just kebabin’ with lamb and ‘we goat your back’ which is a family favourite and so delicious. We also ordered the loaded mac n cheese for the pasta freak in the group (who was also the birthday person). And extra plantain because I love plantain, and hummus which was served with the softest most delicious pita. We also had pretty much one of every mocktail, they were all delicious. The atmosphere in the restaurant was not too loud, so we could hear eachother and talk comfortably, the food was fresh and tasty. We ate till we almost popped. Shout out for the desserts, we had one of each of those too. They were all a taste sensation. Special thanks to the amazing wait staff, who were friendly and welcoming and couldn’t do enough, even tho we turned up early with a massive party (really sorry about that). The food was amazing atmosphere was lovely, and all at a very reasonable price. If you’re celebrating or want to eat out somewhere that makes delicious food this is the place for you. Special mention for the Afrikana fries, if you like slightly hot piquant sauce this ones for you

Latecarrot I ordered in advance yesterday and chose the seafood okra and the designer stew for dinner. There was heavy traffic in Barking, and the restaurant was close to closing time, but the lady on the phone kindly promised to wait for me. I really appreciated that level of service. The food was excellent, full of flavour, and clearly prepared with care. I will be back very soon.

Silvano Haven’t had a Nandos in quite a long while. I noticed the chicken was definitely smaller than I remember, lol. We had a whole chicken between 2 with 4 regular sides but left feeling like I could have eaten more. Our order didn’t take too long to come and the restaurant only had a few other tables in use. There was a new ketchup (at least I hadn’t seen it on my last visits) which was a hot flavour - a bit too much kick for me but would be great if you like hot spices. The tenderstem broccoli was also new to me and I loved this addition. My major complaint about this visit was that there was no soap to wash your hands in the female toilet. I spoke to a member of staff who said the dispenser was broken but I could wash my hands at the sink next to the plates and cutlery. I did, but hated the idea of people using the toilet and then washing there hands so close to the plates etc.
