Brighton curry - Indian Curry Restaurant - (Near East Sussex, london)

Ela Gorla Vel is one of my favourite restaurants in Brighton and one of the best South Indian restaurants I ever tried. I spent 5 months in South India in 2024 so when I moved to Brighton I was desperate to find a place where I could enjoy authentic South Indian food and I’m thrilled I discovered Vel. The food tastes exactly like the food I used to eat in India and the staff is very friendly. I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for true Indian flavours.

Samantha Adams We enjoyed a very nice meal whilst we were visiting the vocal area for a couple of nights. We were greeted with a very warm welcome explained the menus and deals that were on offer. Food and drinks were a good high-quality and absolutely delicious i’m glad we’re not local because I don’t think I’d ever cook myself a meal again If this place was on my doorstep.

wayne de strete Just had the pleasure at performing as Paparazzi at this venue in my home town of Brighton, and what a great experience we had. David the venue manager was a real pleasure to work with and couldnt have been more helpful. The venue itself was perfect for a birthday party, well decorated, atmospheric lighting and a view that was absolutely stunning. We were treated to a generous serving of Cod & Chips during our break which was delicious. Overall a really great night at a unique and friendly venue. Joe King I picked up some noodles on my way home - £6 for a huge portion of singapore noodles, was worried they wouldnt take card but they only have a minimum of a fiver. Noodles took 5 mins to get ready and they gave me some free prawn crackers!! Really good noodles very happy
