Ameera Shafique Pitted Olive has been our go-to spot for years now. We first happened to come across it a few years ago and ever since, it’s become our ritual stop before catching a flight — it’s so conveniently close to King’s Cross and the perfect way to start a holiday.
This review is definitely overdue, especially considering how often we come here, but honestly every single visit has been superb. I almost always order the beef moussaka lunch, which comes with bulgur rice and mezze — so, so good. Everything tastes incredibly fresh, full of flavour, and because it’s already prepared and kept warm, it comes out super quickly (ideal when you’re on a bit of a time crunch).
My only tiny moan (and it really is tiny) is that the refillable water glasses are on the smaller side — we drink a lot of water with our food, so we found ourselves taking turns getting refills. But honestly, that’s hardly a dealbreaker.
Consistently great food, quick service, and a reliable favourite. We’ll keep coming back!!
