1 /5 Spaghetti On Toast: I recently visited Fiume with high expectations, but unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired.
From the moment we sat down, the most pressing issue was the temperature inside the restaurant. It was very cold to the point where several guests around us kept their coats on throughout their entire meal.
Kinda difficult to enjoy a dining experience when you are shivering between courses, and the drafty atmosphere significantly detracted from what should have been a cozy Christmas Italian dinner.
As for the food, it was just average. While the presentation was decent, the flavors lacked the taste and authenticity I expected from a restaurant of this stature. My pasta was just blunt, and the sauce felt uninspired, making the meal feel okay, rather than memorable. It certainly didnt justify the premium reputation the establishment had.
The most frustrating part of the night, however, came with the bill. We noticed that the menu prices were different from the final charges. And several items were priced higher on the receipt than what was clearly stated on the one page menu we ordered from. When we brought this to the staffs attention, they had resolved it, but it felt like they had done us a favour. Between the chilly interior, mediocre food, and billing discrepancies, I wont be going back there, never ever again.
