Jonathan Ho Went on a Friday night and reserved a table - was fairly busy so would recommend booking a table. The food was very good and the service was lovely. Both members of staff were lovely. I have a peanut allergy and they were great with my allergy, they also have a very clearly signed menu of different intolerances. The prices were also very good.

Darren Bullish aggressive customer service. Do not put yourself through the ordeal of conversing with certain staff members! to be patronised and talked down too, without provocation. I Ordered all the food and said,”can you please put sauce on three of the meals please?” I was told they don’t do that and they will fill up 3 pots and charge me silly prices for each pot. I said,” just give me the meals and I’ll squirt the sauce from the bottles from the tables and then fully wrap the meals to take away.” They wouldn’t allow me to do this and said,” that I’d have to pay for the sauce,”even though it’s sitting on the tables to use when eating in. I said ,”forget the sauce” and on the way out I called them to show them I was putting their sauce on the meals; because of how rude and money hungry they are… sauce-stortion is extortion. Not a nice place, at all and terrible customer service. Hopefully sauce-gate is over now and not still common practice. No idea if the foods any good as it was cold after all the tumultuous fun…

Kawa Consistently delicious, innovative japanese-style cuisine. The staff are always lovely. Dishes both look great and taste amazing. My personal favourite is the hearty tonkotsu udon with pork (feels like a two-course meal). For pudding, I suggest trying black sesame ice cream.

The bread comes thick and fresh, perfect for tearing and wiping up every last drop of the rich, tangy sauce. The colors alone—red tomatoes, green herbs, creamy whites, golden bread—make the table look like a beginner’s painting of a perfect morning. What truly elevates the experience is the warmth of the people who serve it. Local women tending the café move with an easy grace; their smiles, quiet attentiveness, and friendly chatter make you feel like a welcomed guest rather than a customer.

Liz Isb Our first experience as a group at Miller and Carter and we absolutely loved our dining experience here! Food was amazing. Kamilla was a really great host too. We’ll be back again!
