Thushyanthini Antoneythas I had a wonderful experience at Chanthra Express. Biruntha provided excellent customer service with such a warm and friendly welcome. She was very attentive and made us feel comfortable right away. The food quality was outstanding and truly tasted like authentic Sri Lankan cuisine. Everything was very delicious and full of flavor. The curry roti and Chanthra rice were especially excellent. When you visit this shop, you really feel like home. Highly recommended!

But keep in mind if youre going to order the soup just like I did make sure you wont eat anything before coming here, theres so much!!! Lauren Williams A lovely, inviting and unpretentious cafe and deli with an outdoor space. It is very well organised inside so it has quite a tranquil feel to it despite selling many products. Its really easy to browse for what you need. Each time I have been staff have been really tranquil and friendly. Its almost like visiting a little bit of Italy and inside feels very far away from Herne Hill. I wouldnt imagine it would be easy to get a buggy in here but I would say that the cafe would be enjoyed by children and adults. A buggy could be folded ig needed. There is a large selection of milkshakes and pastries. There is authentic foccacia which is a real treat. The hot chocolate I had here was absolutely delicious. The whole shop smells delicious really! Ill definitely be back just before a school pick up and judging by the amount of customers visiting both times I went so will others.

Vika Tolkaciova It was our first time in this restaurant and definitely not the last one. Very different approach on interior. Nothing like usual Thai restaurant look. No screaming decorations on the walls with palm leafs. Makes the whole atmosphere calmer. Most important and exciting part of this restaurant is FOOD!!!! Absolutely amazing flavours. We had Kheaw wan chicken, massaman beef and chicken Pad Thai. Food arrived piping hot and freshly made. Kheaw wan curry had perfect level of spiciness without making it burning hot (if you want it not spicy then order something else) and the whole profile of flavors was executed to perfection. Same statement stands for massaman and pad Thai. Lovely young lady who approached us on arrival was very gentle and polite. Thank you chef and we are looking forward to come back and try other dishes.
