Zamnig African Restaurant - Kent

Rating: 4.8 /5
ifeanacho innocent I recently dined at Zamnig Africa restaurant , and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and the rich, comforting aromas of authentic African cuisine. The food was absolutely outstanding. The jollof rice was perfectly seasoned, vibrant, and incredibly flavorful easily one of the best I’ve had. The grilled chicken was tender, and infused with spices that tasted both traditional and fresh. I also loved the plantains, which were caramelized beautifully and added the perfect touch of sweetness to the meal. What really made the experience special was the attention to detail. Every dish felt like it was made with passion and pride. The portions were generous without compromising quality. If you’re looking to explore African flavors or simply want a meal that feels like a celebration, Zamnig Africa restaurant is the place to go. Highly recommended!

Ali Selman Burak Absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. This is honestly one of the best Turkish breakfast spots I’ve visited in London. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and very clean, with a cosy yet lively vibe that makes it perfect for a relaxed weekend breakfast with family and friends. The staff are incredibly friendly, polite, and attentive. From the moment we walked in, we felt genuinely welcomed. Service was impressively fast, even though the place was busy, and the team kept checking in to make sure everything was perfect. They are very helpful and professional, which makes the whole experience even better. The highlight is definitely the unlimited Turkish breakfast. The variety is amazing and everything is fresh and beautifully presented. You can enjoy unlimited servings of delicious traditional items including cheeses, olives, menemen, fresh bread, honey, jams, and more. The unlimited Turkish tea flowing throughout the meal makes it even more enjoyable and authentic. Everything tasted high quality and freshly prepared. It’s a place you can confidently recommend to anyone looking for a proper Turkish breakfast experience. I will definitely be coming back again and bringing friends and guests next time. Highly recommended. Thanks!

Dr.Noodle 珍美捞 - Lewisham

Tim S I dont know what all the hate is about in some of these reviews - I ordered delivery from here and the food was great. It even came in an insulated bag so it stayed hot! Maybe those looking for Cantonese style food will be disappointed - this is Sichuan style. I had the jianbing ("Tianjin Crepe") and it was fine, but the pork noodles with tomato and egg were delicious.

Mrs Sourdough Bakery - Kent

Holly Austin-Davies Oh my goodness. Genuinely the biggest, most delicious buns I have ever eaten. For someone who loves food, a visit here is like stepping into Wonkas chocolate factory - even at 8am on a rainy Saturday morning, the place was a hive of activity, there were already mounds of baked goods stacked on the counter, and clearly more being made at the back of the cafe. Despite barging in the moment they opened, they couldnt have been more friendly and welcoming, and I left with buns smothered in cream cheese frosting and pecans and the biggest smile on my face. An absolute must-visit, you wont be disappointed.

Hokkaido Teppanyaki Restaurant - Lewisham

Rating: 4.7 /5
Dianne Cooper Our second visit to Hokkaido confirmed its status as an exceptional Japanese restaurant. Initially, we enjoyed an à la carte meal from one of the standard tables, offering a fantastic view of the chefs cooking station. Every dish we selected was incredibly delicious, and the service was faultless. So impressed, we decided to return just a few days later for the chefs table experience. It was a quiet, early Tuesday night, creating an intimate setting. I chose the meat set menu, while my husband went for the blackened cod – we happily shared, finding each and every dish to be divine and utterly mouth-watering. Seriously, its impossible to recommend just one; they were all truly mind-blowing! A standout detail is that the chef meticulously prepares all his own sauces. The delightful owner, incredibly knowledgeable, took the time to explain each dish, its ingredients, and its preparation, adding another layer to our appreciation. The chefs skill was captivating, turning our meal into a true culinary performance – a night at the theatre in itself. The warm sake was the perfect accompaniment. Having spent time in Japan, I can confidently say this is the finest Japanese food I have ever tasted.
