The Travel Hacking Life This was my first time visiting Damal. The interior was quite basic, but once we sat down it became clear that the focus was on the food rather than the setting. The service was good. The person serving us took time to guide us through the meal and brought out a variety of dishes for us to try, which made the experience feel relaxed and unhurried. We started with chai tea while everything was being prepared. The main dish was a shared platter of rice served with lamb, placed in the centre of the table. Alongside it, we were given several types of flatbread on one plate, which were used to eat the meal together. There was a lot of food overall, enough that we ended up taking some home afterwards. The sauces added a lot to the meal, especially the spicier ones, which had a strong kick without being overwhelming. They were good enough that I asked to take some with me. Overall, we really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere was very relaxed and casual, I would definitely come back again

Samantha Gurung Really nice green curry, it tasted really fresh and I was very impressed with the beef sandwich. We tried the fried ice cream for the novelty and were pleasantly surprised, it was still frozen in the inside and tasted really great! The owner was nice and had a lovely chat with us. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a nice quick lunch.

Kevin Crampton So, I didnt realise that the Harvester was still around and the bottomless salad bar took me straight back to happy memories of the 1980s. We were a large group of 16 people for a birthday party and the restaurant took impeccable care of us. Our waitress Kimberley was absolutely spot on, managing the huge and confusing order, settling us in including elderly family members and making sure that the whole evening went off really well. A huge thanks to all the staff and a great, family-friendly service.

HAYTAM We come here regularly and Roshni has always been super nice and helpful. She looks so busy whenever we come in but she happily makes time for us. Todays manager was also great. I ordered the wrong drink by mistake but he was very understanding and did my refund. Mon 09/02/2026 5:45pm.

sornam vetpillai Gana was excellent for our birthday celebration. Very reliable with setting up the venue, prompt serving of the food and all staff were very helpful and polite. Many thanks to Colin and Kalai; would highly recommend this team for organising banqueting events. Food was piping hot l delicious and ample. Marcos Pimentel Yurina, our waitress, has done a terrific job. Very helpful, explaining the details of the chef’s specials. The new menu offers a wide range of hot and cold dishes, along with an outstanding selection of sushi and sashimi. Please dont forget to pay attention to the ceramic plates and serving dishes.
