2 /5 L steph “Syebah”: First time coming here. The lady who welcomed us was lovely. We dined outdoors and enjoyed the cold but sunny day. The service was fast. Food tasted just ok but not worth its price. We ordered meat and rice and was served literally rice and meat with broth. It was tasty but i think it is something anyone can make at home by boiling meat with onion and spices then adding rice. A bit disappointed to be honest.
5 /5 Pramal Lad: Really enjoyed a last minute need for some yummy food whilst in Reading! As vegetarians and with Indian palate, the injira and 3 veggie curries (2x lentil, 1x cabbage) were very tasty, fresh and felt home made. Wish there was more injira and ended up ordering extra portion. 2 friendly ladies looked after us too .
1 /5 Eva: We ordered the chicken and the red lentils. It was very watery and lukewarm. It was not flavourful. Clearly just microwaved... The injera was also cold and we were not given nearly enough. Again, flavour was barely there. For the price it was a terrible experience £22 for a tiny tiny dish.
Ive been to so many Ethiopian restaurants in the country. This is the worst. I dont understand the good reviews honestly.
5 /5 A.A. G: This is a lovely quaint and cosy little building residing in the middle of Palmer Park. It is such a jewel to find. A treasure worth adventuring out for.
I always ask for the doro wor (spicy chicken) brown lentils with the injerra.
My favourite beer is St George.
Tutu is absolutely fantastic and she knows how to choose her staff. They are the same.
Always come back here. You must give it a try. Tell me if you agree.
Yara Sarrouh This place is amazing, authentic, people are soo polite, so caring. The food is delicious freshh clean tasty. This place should be more popular, love it!!
Zara-ayla Salim I ordered catering for 10 people and Munaza was absolutely fantastic. The food was all high quality, fresh, and beautifully prepared — everyone really enjoyed it. What stood out most was her kindness and flexibility; despite very short notice, she arranged for the food to be ready earlier than scheduled, which helped us so much.
Excellent service and communication. I will definitely be ordering again and highly recommend her.
Ffion Griffiths Easily the best Indian restaurant in Reading! So many beautiful dishes to choose from including lots of vegetarian options. My go to, the Paneer Tikka Masala is always perfect and the portion sizes are incredibly generous. The staff are also lovely and welcoming - would recommend.
