Cathy N We are regular customers. Great food, and lovely friendly staff. Kebab pizza and garlic bread, mixed kebab and a half pounder burger. They were all very much enjoyed.

Janet Nerini Our first time at the Bax Castle for Sunday Carvery. The food was excellent, fresh, hot and plentiful. Even with such a busy lunchtime the service was friendly and efficient. We were seated in the back room which is cosy and has a nice atmosphere but it is a small area and I would have preferred it to be dog free. A designated dog area in the restaurant might be better, especially for those of us that are allergic to or afraid of dogs. We very much enjoyed our lunch and will definitely return.

Aria Yang Regardless of whether the UK is considered a “food desert” or not, this restaurant is truly outstanding. Every single dish is delicious, and the service is excellent. The prices are very reasonable for the quality. As an Asian diner who doesn’t live in Europe and generally doesn’t prefer Western cuisine, I was genuinely impressed by this restaurant. There wasn’t a single disappointing dish that day — everything was spot on. You can even show the staff my photos and ask for recommendations with confidence. It’s a restaurant I look forward to revisiting every year when I return to the UK.

Damian Kowalski Lovely food great and service most of the food on the menu is gluten free. Warm welcome and friendly service been in the place few times and never left disappointed. Atmosphere is nice but for me is a bit too dark.

CJ Pan The charming decor and unpretentious atmosphere are just like some of the restaurants I visited in Japan. I have known this restaurant for several years and the quality of food and service has been consistent. I hope it stays open for many more!
