3 /5 Hi_Ru: I had booked a table online through OpenTable for a group of 13. About an hour before our reservation, the restaurant called to inform me they didn’t have space in the main dining area and could only seat us outdoors. I reluctantly agreed, as I knew finding another spot for a large group would be nearly impossible on a busy day due to a sporting event.
When we arrived, I was told they had no reservation for us as they believed I had cancelled it. After some back and forth, they did manage to seat us outside, but our group was split up. The restaurant was extremely busy, and service was quite poor initially — we had to ask multiple times for cutlery even after our food had arrived.
After finishing our starters and raising concerns of the outside seating, we were offered tables inside, but again, our group had to be split. On the positive side, the food was very good and well-prepared. Service improved later in the evening as things calmed down, and Rakshit helped improve the situation by offering a discount on the bill due to the various issues we faced.
Overall, while the food was great and we appreciated the gesture at the end, the disorganization and poor initial service really let the experience down. Would have rated it higher under different circumstances.
