5 /5 Evrim Kulaçoğlu: It’s the very definition of a harmony of flavours, you can feel it in every dish. The starters were absolutely sublime. The lamb biryani was okay, but I expected a bit more considering how amazing the starters were. The service, however, was exceptional, warm, attentive, and perfectly timed. It really elevated the whole experience. Everything else was on point.
5 /5 O G: We liked everything about this restaurant. The decor was very lively, yet the atmosphere was very relaxed and friendly. The food was sublime, not like other similar resturantes. The dishes were unique and of the highest quality.
4 /5 Babita Singh: I chose this place because it was en-route and the reviews and food options looked good. I was able to change my reservation time on the day, which was handy. The food is nice, not too oily which I liked, and some quirky options too. The Gobi Tree was a complete let down..to pay £9 for a slice of gobi is way too pricey. One item to definitely reconsider..it just looks like a tree but theres nothing much else. On the other hand, the South Indian Spiced Lamb was amazing. I must admit overall there was a lot of green chili in pretty much everything. The veg options in the starters was quite limited. Service was on point and the place is clean. Its right on the high street, so you feel quite exposed. We parked on a side road which was free.
5 /5 Stephane Middleton: Absolutely delightful! This being our third visit here, I feel compelled to write utterly favourably of their virtues.
Tonight was a quiet night at the restaurant, but even though we were the only ones there for the bulk of our meal, it was not awkward, or uncomfortable. Wait staff were perfect, personable and professional. Friendly advice was given for the dishes and as always it was quite delightful and tasty.
This will not be our last visit by any means and when we are in the mood to spoil ourselves with a great night out we would be hard pressed to look any further than the bayleaf.
Top marks all round!
5 /5 Nick Hornett: Excellent restaurant! You pay more here than most places but the quality or food, drinks and service are a few levels higher.
I’ve been three times and each time has been very enjoyable. I recommend to anyone who appreciates good food and quality.
Merrill Humphries On arrival a bit quiet but I visited on a Saturday however this picked up during my time at the restaurant.
Great food & wine choice. Food was extremely tasty. Service was excellent.
Adian Alnaas Me and my husband bought 4 falafel and halloumi wraps today! Guess what? They were the best falafel wraps in the UK! ❤️ so tasty and were made with love. The place was nice and clean and the guy who is working there was very friendly with us.
Oreoluwa Ladele I loved eating here with friends. The lamb chops were *chef’s kiss*, and Raj, the bartender, was so sweet and made great drinks. My friends and I had the pink ones in the shot glasses, and the blue one was someone else’s drink but it was so pretty! I would definitely love to go back and try other things on the menu.
Pip Bensley What nice people helping the plasterer working locally who found the property he was due to work in had the water cut off. They helped instantly and apparently made an excellent bacon sandwich. Well done guys, I hope your cafe goes from strength to strength
Lis Maimaris I went to Ranis for the first time and had a delicious Thali. The food was fresh, beautifully presented and so tasty. The thali came with 2 curries - one of which I could choose from the extensive menu. I had paneer and spinach, which though a little spicy for me, was lovely. The waitress, Tanvi, very kindly brought me some yogurt to cool it down. Service from Tanvi was very personable and kind. I imagine in the evening or during a weekend buffet, the restaurant would be more buzzy but as it was it was very peaceful which I enjoyed. Id like to come again with my husband and family and to try more things.
