3 /5 Pseudonym Nice (The Honest Reviewer): I’ve been a loyal customer of club 2000 for years and have to say that my last visit on the 16th of January was appalling. Every three weeks I go to club 2000 for their lamb chops and drums of heaven. My most recent visit was absolutely awful. The lamb chops were some of the worst I have ever had. They were dry, lacking flavour and as tough as a tyre. I don’t know if they hadn’t marinated the chops or if they have changed suppliers but they were disgraceful. To make matters worse when I was served my portion they brought out only 4 chops, not only has the quality gone downhill massively but they have decreased their portion size. I used to love this place but sadly I don’t see my self returning. Either the management has changed her or they are using different suppliers. Truly a shame, I used to proudly call this place my local and bring friends here.
*Update* It’s been three weeks since I emailed club2k about what happened and have been completely ignored. It seems as though whoever manages this page and sent me reply did so out of wanting it to appear as though they care about their patrons but lacked any sincerity, instead choosing to have an online facade of customer care. My attempt at reaching out (as per requested) was a total waste of time.
After going to whetherspoons with some friends, I visited the restaurant again on the 12th and fortunately can confirm that the dishes I enjoy were as I remembered them, however I did order one dish that I hadn’t tried before, the sarson mahi tikka. It was absolutely horrendous, the taste was foul and it was extremely dry and poor in taste/quality.
I have little time for fake businesses that spew out generic chat gpt responses to their customer base when people can clearly see the portion size change in the photos upload to this page and how the menu was adjusted in the space of weeks in January. Do not take your customers as idiots, it’s very disrespectful. For an accurate depiction of how the management cares halfheartedly about dinners all you need to do is look at how they can’t even be bothered to delete their old domain and website with a hyphen and non existent email address that appears as the first entry when making a google search.
