hare super Stopped by CORD on Fleet Street for a weekday lunch and honestly didn’t expect it to be this busy — or this good. I always assumed people around here would just grab a quick sandwich, but the dining room was full of City workers actually taking their time and enjoying a proper meal. The space is beautifully designed. You walk in through a casual café area, then further inside it opens up into a calm, elegant dining room. The open kitchen is a great touch — you can see everything happening, which makes the whole experience feel very transparent and relaxed. Food-wise, everything we ordered was spot on. The A5 Wagyu and bluefin tuna starters were delicate and full of flavour. For mains, the BBQ monkfish was perfectly cooked and the Highland venison en croûte was rich and comforting without being heavy. The peanut soufflé to finish was light, warm and absolutely worth the wait. It’s rare to find a restaurant of this level right in the middle of the City. If you work nearby and want to slow down for once — whether for a long lunch, a business meal or a quiet date — CORD is well worth a visit.

Edward Katia “Katie” I was invited there for dinner by my daughter, and we went together. From the outside the location isn’t particularly striking, but once you step inside it’s a completely different world. You enter through a narrow little passage and a small door, only to discover a spacious and beautiful interior — a wine bar, great food, a lovely atmosphere, excellent service, and friendly staff. I enjoyed the place immensely.

Peter Doczi We hosted our company Christmas party at The Refinery New Street Square on 5th December 2025, and it was absolutely fantastic! The food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent, everything exceeded our expectations. A special shout-out to Olivia, the Event Manager, who made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. I find organising a party for 100+ people incredibly stressful, but Olivia and the whole team handled everything brilliantly. From planning to execution, their professionalism and attention to detail were outstanding. Thank you to everyone at The Refinery for making our celebration so enjoyable. Highly recommend for corporate events or any occasion!

Allen I saw some interesting comments for this place, so i wanted to give a shot. Well, its pretty good for this price which actually surprised me. And the location is great. only 15mins walk from london bridge

Diana T Really nice coffeeshop with a great selection of coffee and smoothies. The coffee is smooth and well made, and the smoothies are especially good. You can tell they’re made from fresh fruits, not syrups or powders. Everything tastes fresh and well balanced. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, making it a perfect place to sit down, catch up with friends, or just enjoy a quiet moment with a good drink. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Filipa Peleja The food was very good, super tasty, fresh ingredients and served fast. The staff was attentive and very friendly. It is a good place to have drinks, eat and stay for a bit.
