4 /5 Gargi Talukder: Giggling Squid restaurants are always really cute, and every branch I’ve been to has had a lovely atmosphere. This visit was no different in terms of vibe, but the food itself was just okay—not amazing. We tried the salmon Panang curry, which didn’t really hit the spot, and the Fisherman’s Feast was good, though the crab was a bit too oily for my liking. Our order was taken incorrectly at first, so we had to wait a little longer, but they gave us prawn crackers on the house, which was a nice gesture. After that, Alexis took over serving us, and she was incredibly friendly, we even ended up chatting about Gilmore Girls. There’s parking nearby at the Rose Theatre car park, and the bill wasn’t too bad. If you work for the NHS, you can also get a discount here, which is a great perk. Overall, a pleasant experience, even if the food wasn’t the best this time.
