1 /5 Meddy the Teddy The poetry: We visited Grand Lebanon today for dinner. We are very fond of Lebanese food and have enjoyed some excellent restaurants in the past, so we had high expectations.
The restaurant itself was very clean with a pleasant atmosphere. It appeared to be a family-run business, which made us expect a warm and authentic dining experience.
We ordered mixed shawarma, mixed grill, and chicken kabsa. Unfortunately, the food was quite disappointing. While the fries were fresh, the rest of the dishes did not taste fresh and seemed as though they had been reheated, possibly in a microwave. The food lacked the freshness and flavour we were expecting.
This was particularly disappointing as the kids were very hungry and looking forward to a good meal.
Overall, this was our first visit and, sadly, it will likely be our last. We hope the restaurant takes this feedback on board and improves the quality and freshness of the food they serve to customers.
Thank you for your response.
I understand that, as the owner, you would naturally want to present your restaurant in the best possible light. However, as a customer, I can only share my honest experience.
Unfortunately, the food we were served did not taste fresh. Aside from the fries, the rest of the dishes felt reheated and lacked the flavour and freshness we would normally expect from Lebanese cuisine.
We also noticed that during the entire time we were there (over an hour), no other guests came in. This, in our view, raised concerns about the turnover of food and may explain why the dishes did not feel freshly prepared.
In any case, this was our genuine experience on the day. I do not wish to go back and forth on this matter. We have simply decided not to return in the future.
I hope you take this feedback constructively.
