Thai Spicy @ The Kings Head Bexley - Bexley

Rating: 4.7 /5
Huong Lee A great little restaurant called Thai spicy in a traditional pub in Bexley. Pub was lively and friendly. The food was delicious and we tried as many dishes as we could. Everything we had was really good! We found out about this place after a friend recommended it and we’ll be coming back to try the rest of the menu! The ladies who work there are amazing and super friendly. The papaya salad and Tom yum soup was my favourite!

Pam#Exotic Jerk - Kent

Rating: 4.7 /5
Shiny Candi I absolutely adore Pam’s Exotic Jerk Hut in Dockside. It’s my go-to on the weeks I don’t have my children and don’t want to cook, and it never disappoints. The food is proper Caribbean comfort food — full of flavour, cooked with care, and there’s always a great range of choices available. I’ve never turned up and felt like I was scraping the barrel; there’s always plenty to choose from. I’ll be honest — I dont really buy Caribbean food in Kent, I always used to pick it up on my way back from South London, so finding this place locally has been amazing. It genuinely feels like a little taste of home without the long journey. The service is impeccable every single time — friendly, warm, and welcoming. The hut itself is tiny but always spotless, well organised, and beautifully presented. You can tell a lot of pride goes into running this place. My only (very minor!) gripe is that there’s never quite enough coco bread for the patties — but honestly, that just tells you how popular they are. Absolutely love this place and will keep coming back. A real gem.

Kylie Higgins Such a lovely brunch spot. This is our second time having breakfast and both occasions have been fantastic. The service was super friendly and the food was delicious. We had the French toast and the pancakes and they were both superb. Only tiny grumble would be to have some more of the lemon curd with the pancakes because it was so yum!

Libbys of Dorking - Surrey

Rating: 4.5 /5
Franco I recently visited Libby’s of Dorking, and it proved to be an exceptional experience from start to finish. The food was not only perfectly prepared but also beautifully presented, reflecting care, authenticity, and attention to detail in every dish. The service was equally impressive. The staff delivered hospitality at its best—warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to ensuring an enjoyable dining experience. Their professionalism elevated the entire meal, creating an atmosphere that felt welcoming and refined. Libby’s of Dorking is a restaurant I would highly recommend to anyone looking for quality Pakistani cuisine paired with outstanding service. I will definitely be returning and look forward to experiencing more of what they have to offer.

Jollof Mama - Lambeth

Rating: 4.6 /5
edmund price My first taste of west African food, the jollof was very nice, but personally I wish that it would be served with a separate side of yoghurt to balance out the spiciness. The spice was a bit of a surprise to me. Atmosphere was wonderful, reminds me of a pannier market sort of atmosphere, even struck up conversations with complete strangers, that was nice. For London it is cheap, about 14 quid a meal. Though that being said, in other parts of the UK you could get a good Sunday roast for £14, is it equal to me to a roast dinner? no, but I imagine that many west Africans in London could enjoy this taste of home made for them, without the effort I imagine it takes to do yourself. I suppose its worth trying at least once, because like me in my situation visiting the city from a rural backwater, it is worth seeing what the world has to offer
