5 /5 Ellie Crouch: Amazing family run Italian restaurant!! My boyfriend and I happened to stumble across this restaurant this evening and we were extremely impressed- from the service, to the atmosphere, to the food it was 5* all the way through. We were both made very comfortable upon arrival and noticed that our lovely waiter made extra effort to make note of our names and to make sure we were all okay throughout our meal, something I have not received at a bigger restaurant chain. It really did feel like we were treated like we were members of this family! As for the service, it was very quick and the presentation of the food at mamma Mia’s is PHENOMENAL! I had a beautiful sea food risotto which I will whole heartedly say was the BEST risotto I’ve ever had. From the flavourful sauce to the fresh mussels it was perfect! My boyfriend also enjoyed his chicken pizza and commented that he has never experienced a pizza like the one at mamma Mia’s. I had the panna cotta for dessert and the food just keeps on getting better, it was so creamy and the sauce tasted amazing! I highly recommend mamma mia’s if you want an authentic, cozy and welcoming Italian restaurant. We will definitely be returning and I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu!! Thank you to this beautiful family for their incredible hospitality and talent :)

5 /5 Alison J Legge: Mamma Mia is a hidden gem in the beautiful South Downs Village of Steyning. From the moment you walk through the door, you are made to feel very welcome and like one of the family. The red chequered table cloths and traditional Italian cuisine lends itself to an authentically Italian ambience. Our host last night, Duilio, who is the co-owner and also a chef, gave us great advice as to which dishes to choose and an interesting description of how the dishes are prepared. We were not disappointed, having chosen the Seasonal specialties on offer - cuttlefish spaghetti for me and Beef Rib Ragout for my husband - absolutely delicious! We have visited this restaurant quite a few times and have always enjoyed our menu choices - including traditional pizzas and pastas. One of out favourite restaurants to visit and highly recommended.

5 /5 steve newton: If you are looking for a delicious, proper Italian family home cooked meal then look no further. From the moment we stepped through the door, we were met with the warmest of welcomes and made to feel at home and we were well looked after until we reluctantly left. I took my wife here for her birthday at the weekend. We both love Italian food and Mamma Mia is hands down the best we have experienced outside of Italy! Wonderful staff and amazing food, thank you very much indeed Mamma Mia! We will be returning!
