1 /5 John: This was not a great experience. We went in here for lunch on a weekend, and we ordered some wine through the website and paid for this. The waiter came over and told us that the wine wasn’t available and offered an alternative, which we accepted. However, after the new wine arrived it transpired that we’d been given a wine that was cheaper than the wine we’d paid for. We told the waiter, who initially seemed reluctant to give us a refund on this, and instead suggested we use the “credit” as it were towards another item. When we said we just wanted a refund, the waiter went to get a manager.
When the manager came over, I felt they were immediately confrontational, argumentative and in our face over something that was a minor issue, which was totally not needed. The manager eventually refunded the money, but the experience was dreadful.
The table next to us even remarked to us about how they felt the manager had been unnecessarily rude.
I definitely would not come back here, and I’m intending to complain.
The only plus was that the chicken was nicely cooked.
