3 /5 Megan Hughes: We went for Sunday lunch and the food was excellent — great value, generous portions, and really tasty. The homemade Yorkshire puddings were a perfect touch.
The downside was where we were seated, right by the back door. There was a wedding group leaving and lots of people going in and out to the garden, so the door kept opening constantly. We asked to move but were told they were fully booked, even though plenty of tables were empty. The staff didn’t seem too interested in finding a solution.
By the end, no apology or offer to make up for it, just a shrug. The place also feels a bit different now —big TVs, casual uniforms, and background music that doesn’t really fit with the country-style decor. The food is still great, but the atmosphere has lost some of its charm.
