Kevin Wan Chinese owned restaurant. Happy to have found a hotpot place here while visiting from oxford for the day. I think this place could make a lot of improvements if they wanted to, but overall its pretty good. Here are some tips for the owner that I think could help them get more volume of customers: Focus on just a few good dishes for the non-hotpot stuff. focus mainly on hotpot but giving lower priced meats instead of the high quality stuff. People want good volume of meat for a low price these days. They dont care much for the chinese veggies and delicacies. Being meat focused will help you keep ur meat fresh which will keep customers coming back. Low priced, fresh meat and they will order more. Maybe have smaller plate sizings so they can order in smaller increments. This will help a lot. $20 per dish is too high. $4.99 per dish and they will instead order 5 dishes if they need it. volume. good luck

H L-J Ive been eating at Afghan Flavours, Reading for circa 18 months now. I was introduced by my sisters friend and have kept coming back on my own, with a my sister or in small groups. Its very reliable, tasty, fresh and hot food. Family friendly. Very reasonably priced for the quality and freshness. You can see the kitchen from the counter too. Other reviews mentioning service speed need to show some patience. Freshly cooked and prepared food takes time and this is an increasingly popular establishment. I would describe as cafe style eating. Whether its the Channa Daal, Houmous, halloumi, chicken byriani, Qabuli chicken/lamb, chicken/lamb charsi karahi, Afghan style red kidney beans, Chaplin kebab paties, chicken or lamb or mixed tikka or lamb kofta - I recommend all. For drinks would recommend mint or green tea (loose tea) or mango lassi (glass or jug) or a fresh juice. I prefer to eat in, but take away is also available. A friendly and hardworking team. Namhang Sundeep Limbu I just had an excellent meal that hit all the right notes! The buffet had a fantastic variety, and everything was super fresh—definitely made it easy to go back for seconds. The staff were friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. Overall, I cant recommend this place enough; Ill be back soon!

Trinity Mcfarlane Amazing place!!! Went there for my friends birthday. It was my first visit. However a few people at the table had been previously and they recommended we get a bit of everything as they are small plates made for sharing. This was a lovely eating experience. The atmosphere was sensational. It was a quiet day and Alex went above and beyond for me and my friends. Even putting on a few cheeky song requests as we were the last table of the evening. The Cocktails were to die for! Flavours all around were amazing. I will definitely be coming back soon for sure and recommend this place to many!

Joe Audcent Really enjoyed the Thai Green curry, which they were happy to swap aubergine for peppers which I was pleased about and shows the food is freshly cooked to order. Very friendly service and the banana fritters were delicious. Haven’t had these for years so such a nice treat! With the friendly service, the very clean and comfortable dining area and so many dishes to choose from this has to be one of my favourite Thai restaurants.
