Juliet Yang First time visiting the UK and Brighton for my graduation ceremony, and I randomly discovered this pub. It’s absolutely a must-visit. The atmosphere is cool and cozy, with a great selection of beers. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming (shout-out to Paul, Ben, and the chef!). I ordered the chicken burger (something I’d never tried before) and it completely surprised me. So good! The chef even came out to check that everything was okay, which was such a thoughtful touch. As an Asian female solo traveler, I felt completely safe and genuinely welcomed here. I loved sitting at the bar and chatting with the staff. I’ll definitely remember this place and will come back again.

Binnie Highly recommended! Top service, lovely atmosphere and great food at really good portions, specially the Sunday roast! They accommodated our tricky dietary requirements, gluten, dairy, egg and nut free and adapted the dish. Chicken was very tender and lots of sides with the Sunday roast. The pan fried sea bass was also tops! The waitress was very friendly and attentive. Would definitely go back!

The staff were warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. They made us feel genuinely looked after without ever being intrusive. The customer service throughout the evening was flawless and truly elevated the entire experience. Food was absolutely outstanding. I ordered the filetto di manzo, which was cooked perfectly and incredibly tender. The calamaro grigliato was fresh, beautifully seasoned, and full of flavour. The Portofino Negroni, was easily one of the best cocktails I’ve had in London. And the tiramisu… truly to die for. Light, rich, and the perfect way to end the meal! Sale e Pepe Mare delivers not only exquisite food but also an unforgettable dining experience. I will absolutely be returning and highly recommend it to anyone looking for exceptional Italian cuisine in a stunning setting.

Ruth Sanchez Another wonderful evening at the little fish market hove . This was our 3rd visit and we enjoyed it just as much as the previous two . The service as always impeccable, not intrusive at all , friendly, chilled and relaxed yet very attentive. Didn’t catch the name of the lady serving us but she was great . The food was phenomenal, each course carefully crafted individually , the flavours were on point and beautiful presented . We love the fact that the meal isn’t rushed and you have the table for the whole evening. Of course it’s not the cheapest meal but it’s worth every penny for the quality of ingredients and the amount of work that Duncan and his team put in every dish they serve . They have just won the best restaurant in Brighton award , very well deserved too!
