What Clients Are Saying The Kings Head, Lewes (GG)
4 /5 Peter Scott: Popped in for a pint with a friend before a Lewes Ladies football match (this pub is very convenient for the Lewes ground). Nice, atmosphere, friendly bar staff and, unsurprisingly, an excellent pint of Harveys. The food looked good but we didnt eat. I would certainly visit again.
5 /5 Terry McCarthy: Nice rooms but more importantly well kept Harveys Best Sussex Bitter. Perfect to wash down the excellent fish and chips. Super friendly welcome. Whats not to like?
5 /5 Nicola Pulford: Lovely old school pub. We popped in for a quick drink and ended up staying for a bite to eat and more drinks. Staff were friendly and helpful and the lunch we had was amazing. Will be back to visit again next time we are in Lewes and would definitely recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
5 /5 Laura Jarvis: We booked two rooms on a Saturday night . The website and reviews warned of loud music so we were prepared. The Kings Head is a busy locals pub , When we got back from
our evening out we popped into the pub for a drink and to listen to the music. Staff and locals were really friendly and we loved the music. You can’t beat a sing a long and a dance!
The Castle room looks over the pub garden and the rooms are directly over the pub . It’s loud, so if you want to be in bed early on a Saturday night it’s the wrong place. We loved it and would definitely book again . The area is a 10 minute walk from the high street and was very quiet in the morning. The rooms were clean. Great shower and bath with plenty of hot water. Nspreso machine was a bonus in the morning.
5 /5 Robin Rudwick: We went to Fish Friday at the Kings Head.
Great service. The fish was excellent. Between us we had a whole, stuffed sea bream and a lemon sole for mains, plus pil pil prawns (I think) and oysters for starters. We overdid the sides with chips plus smashed potatoes and a green veg.
Mark Sutton A fantastic bakery with seating available too. Very friendly staff serving excellent food. I was delighted with my roll, far superior to the well know chain of baskets. Its also so important to support local businesses. I will certainly call again, highly recommend.
David K Fantastic! Love the friendliness and warm welcome of the staff. The service is excellent. The food is superb and has some modern alternate dishes as well as the traditional ols school Indian dishes. The restaurant itself is modern and classy. Highly recommend.
D. Edwards Yet another amazing takeaway from Castle. Yes, you do pay slightly more than another local option but the quality is FAR better than anything around. We order from these guys all the time and were never disappointed, and food is always delivered really fast and piping hot. Particularly recommend the Kung Po Chicken and the Teriyaki Chicken!
Pot of Tea We celebrated our son and future daughter in-laws engagement here. The staff were brilliant and treated them to a glass of bubbles and cute congratulations motif on their desserts. It was great to have an exclusive little room to ourselves and we felt unhurried and relaxed. Thank you
