5 /5 Ann Toms: We had a lovely Sunday lunch. The service was great & the food was amazing. The roast lamb was very tender & there was lots of veg including a cauliflower cheese. The roast potatoes were great and everything was served hot. We would really recommend it and will be returning

5 /5 Delia Mcmeekin: We enjoyed a delightful family meal here on Friday evening in celebration of my husband’s birthday. The main course was tasty and generous and the desserts were absolutely delicious! Some of the best desserts we have tasted; especially the warm chocolate brownie, cheesecake and pavlova - all homemade, so with a richness and depth of flavour that is rarely found with desserts bought-in from wholesalers. Lovely and friendly atmosphere and welcomed our two dogs with no qualms. We’ll be back! Would highly recommend.

5 /5 Kazim Shah: I would highly recommend this pub. It’s by far the best. The staff are amazing and make you feel so welcome, and the owner is very approachable — you can have a really good laugh with him. I used to go to Rickmansworth as my local, but from now on I’ll be using this pub instead. The drinks are reasonably priced and the food is 10/10. Once again, thank you for the excellent service. Please give this pub a try — you won’t be disappointed, trust me.

4 /5 Emma Fletcher: Our first visit today, weve been meaning to pop-in as we drive-by during the week. Wonderful welcome and lovely staff. Being a Saturday it was very busy but a no point did we feel burdensome [we didnt book]. Food was really, really tasty but portions could have been a tad bigger [especially the burger]. Nice to see a local ale on cask, would have liked another local one but still appreciated the Neck Oil. Pub was full of the local community which was such a joy to see in these challenging times. I understand this pub has recently changed hands so looking forward to seeing what changes they bring. We will definitely return despite it not being super local to us its worth the 15 minute drive.

1 /5 D R: I visited Sunday 25th January. Summary - chaotic, untrained staff, long wait times, poor + cold food. Sadly our food was badly delayed, cold and incorrect. When shown to our table we were told someone would be over to take our drinks order - 15 minutes later no one had come so I ended up getting drinks at the bar. The chicken roast was only a small breast and when at the bar I overheard 2 ladies who had ordered soup, waited 45 minutes for it, only to send it back due to it being cold and then another 25 minute wait afterwards. I heard all this because the queue for the bar was huge. A chap at the bar asked for a 125ml wine. The young male server said the owner had taken it off the till so he couldn’t serve it. It is law to offer a 125ml if you are serving a 175ml and 250ml. He said ‘look I’ll show you’ and showed the options on the till. Guess what - it was there and he hadn’t seen it! Staff need to be trained better and taught to get management when there are issues. Whilst they did have a number of walk ins, someone should’ve led from the front and turned them away as this new ownership is not ready for such large numbers.
