The Queens Head - (Near Berkshire, london)

Wiola Kucharczyk It was my first time at The Coach in Marlow and I honestly really enjoyed it. It’s got that relaxed pub vibe, but you can tell everything is done properly, it feels special without being over the top. The atmosphere was great and the staff were so nice. They explained the dishes, made recommendations and just made the whole experience feel comfortable rather than too formal. We ordered a few small plates to share with some wine and everything was delicious. The focaccia was amazing, the scallops were cooked perfectly, the mussels were full of flavour, and the steak was really good too – I’ve had slightly better before, but it was still absolutely worth having. Overall, such a lovely experience and somewhere I’d happily go back to.

Molly Carmichael Absolutely incredible evening out for my friends birthday! Beautiful venue, all staff polite and accommodating, so friendly too. Checked on us often, answered all questions and offered suggestions for food and drinks. My friend didn’t like cake but loves pickles so they gave us a pickle cake with candles haha! Bodgan was our server and we cannot thank him enough, 100% recommend and we will be back!

Mel Price We really enjoyed our meal here. The staff were super friendly and attentive. The food was delicious with a great selection on the menu. There was a lovely atmosphere inside with some quiet live music on as well. Prefect if you’re looking for somewhere nice without it being overly expensive. Food was amazing!

Ade B Another superb visit to The Chequers, Marlow. We went there to celebrate a birthday and from previous visits, knew the food was going to be fantastic. Our expectations weren’t disappointed; the steak was cooked to perfection and the treat of a birthday cake was most welcome. The setting is beautiful and the staff are always polite, friendly and helpful. Caiti ensured our meal service was excellent. We will definitely go back and wholeheartedly recommend this place for its location, service and quality of food.

T S We had the seven-course tasting menu and I swapped the mushroom risotto for a tomato dish. The service was attentive and friendly throughout. The scallops were delicious and paired perfectly with the romesco sauce. The duck was tender with just the right amount of juicy fat. A couple of small downsides were the bread, which tasted a bit like airplane bread, and the desserts, which were a little too sweet for my liking. Overall, it was a great meal, and everyone really enjoyed it. Good value for the price and I’ll definitely be back!
