Cooking is direct, rich, and well judged. Nothing feels overworked or dressed up. Fish dishes are available. They are fewer, but done with care. Good options if meat is not your first choice. Staff stand out. They are sharp, calm, and well informed. Questions get clear answers, not sales talk. Service feels natural and unforced. The room feels relaxed. Conversation is easy. Noise never takes over.

stephen ferguson We had the set buffet, which was an eat as much as you like affair. Service was swift and polite. The food was delivered hot and was tasty with lots of choice. Good value and we will go again

Tom Went in here on a Wednesday evening. It’s got really nice decor and a nice flow to the pub. Good selection of beers / lagers / wine. I had a bottle of picpoul. I ordered the cauliflower soup and some prawns in garlic. Both starters. The soup was yummy. Had a very nice cosy flavour to it. The prawns were well cooked and sizzled a bit in the pan. The accompanying bread was also very tasty. I could see they had a quiz on top which was busy. The pub had a very good vibe to it. I will definitely go again.
