3 /5 Scott Lambert: I came to the two brewers excited to have their steak day menu. I was greeted fairly well, and got my house wine few moment after I sat at my table.
I order the chicken tenders to start and the ribeye steak with onion rings and asparagus as main course
My steak arrived before my starter. Had to say to the lady that I had ordered the tenders as a starter, she apologised and sorted it out, came back and explained what had happened.
I cut into my steak, was ordered medium rare. Mine was rare and very under seasoned. The bear side sauce that I ordered with it was very underwhelming. Lacked seasoning, and if its quite thick, maybe serve it with a spoon as I had to use my knife, and other things to get it out.
Chips were good freshly cooked and seasoned ok
Onion rings were very nice, crunchy, seasoned well and good portion.
Asparagus was a bit displeasing, lacked seasoning and slightly overcooked.
The chicken tenders were pretty good seasoned well and fresh.
In all the onion rings and chicken were best for my dinner, whether Id go again if debate that. If things changed and service got sorted out well then I might
I hope things get sorted as for £40 it was a disappointment and disaster
