5 /5 Toni Ward: Beautiful restaurant, with beautiful food too! Went for lunch and got the chicken wrap, incredible! My mum got the burger and said it was the best burger shes ever had. Highly rate this restaurant. Very clean too. Very polite and friendly staff, will definitely be coming again!

5 /5 Robel Tesfamicael: We had a brilliant meal at Vera Grill & Bar and couldn’t fault the experience. The mixed grill and mixed shish were absolutely delicious — perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and very generous portions. The small flatbread served alongside the meat was spot on; it complemented the dishes without filling you up unnecessarily, so you could really enjoy the mains. We both opted for two courses, a main and a dessert, and you definitely won’t leave hungry. The portion sizes are extremely generous. For dessert, we both had the brownie, which was rich, indulgent, and genuinely delicious — a perfect way to end the meal. We also made the most of happy hour and had four cocktails. The total bill for two people came to £99 including service; without the cocktails, it would have been roughly £60 for two mains and desserts, which is excellent value for the quality and quantity of food. The service was top notch throughout — attentive without being intrusive. The staff regularly checked in to see if we needed anything and were always friendly and happy to help. Overall, a fantastic dining experience with great food, great service, and very good value. Highly recommended.

5 /5 Denise dlildenm: Just wanted to say a huge thank you to Ken from Vera Grill and Bar for allowing me to host my mum’s 80th birthday lunch at his restaurant. I was trying to find a venue for my mum to have lunch with some family and friends. I was scouring the net for somewhere in Croydon. I stumbled on Vera. I have to be honest, I didn’t know Vera existed. I telephoned to see if the owner would consider allowing me to host a lunch. I was told by a member of staff to email the owner. I did, as requested, and to my surprise, the owner said I could host a lunch at his restaurant when the restaurant would ordinarily be closed. I was so pleased to hear this. I decided to have a meal with a friend to sample the food, prior to paying a deposit to secure the booking. The restaurant and staff did not disappoint. The restaurant is beautifully furnished with great access for those with mobility issues. I liaised with Ken regarding the menu. I was allowed to create a bespoke menu for the day, three starters, three mains and three desserts, from the restaurant menu. This was priced up for me. I worked with the restaurant staff regarding a seating plan, welcome drinks and drinks during the meal. I gathered menu options for the guests and all dietary requirements. I think this really helped with the provision of a streamlined service on the day. Ken also provided details of a balloon artist, who I engaged to assist with my decoration of the venue. Not much was needed due to the decor of the restaurant itself. Fast forward to the day of my mum’s birthday. It was a real success. The guests loved the venue. It was so nice to have the venue all to ourselves. The food was cooked to perfection. I want to say a very big thank you to all of the staff that helped us. The chefs, bar staff and front of house ladies. You know who you are. Oops and Dani!!!! I wouldn’t have been able to secure the restaurant for our event if you didn’t ask me to send an email. Thank you again. My family and I cannot thank you all enough for going above and beyond to make the lunch one we and our guests will never forget. We are still talking about it now.
